Cabrillo started off the season with a pair of wins on their home field. Both games were cut short due to the run rule.
Game 1: Cabrillo 16, Bishop Diego 0
Cabrillo racked up 12 hits, Gabby Palacios's (hr & single), Kelcie Jo Pecyna (2 doubles), Alyssa Abayari (2 singles), Adrianna Segura (single & double), Shelby Kuhlman (double), Alex Pino (2 doubles), and Shy'Ann Morrow (single). The Conqs backed it up with errorless defense. Kiley Shae Aldridge pitched the complete 5 inning game for the Conqs, striking out 9 and allowing 2 walks in a no-hitter performance.
Game 2: Cabrillo 11, Santa Barbara 1
After Santa Barbara beat Santa Maria in the early game, they marched in to take on the Conqs. Cabrillo again came out swinging, and collected 8 hits. They were led by Kaitlyn Philips with 3 singles, Segura had 2 singles, Abayari, Lindsey Holloway and Taylor Fuller each added a single. Amanda Leake pitched the complete 6 inning game striking out 9 and allowing only 1 walk and 3 hits.
