Maybe we should start calling them Ledgerwood's Lumberjacks. The Lompoc girls softball varsity certainly used the lumber on Friday - jacking 3 shots out of the park, and pounding out 14 hits, en route to a 15-0 win over the SLO Tigers. The Braves Jeanna Carrillo had one of the homers and also started a new shutout streak, pitching five masterful innings. Last year she was really good about not giving up walks, but didn't have a lot of strike-outs. On Friday, she did - no walks and 7 strike-outs. The 'other' two blasts over the new left field fence were by Hilary Davis. The team home run leader last year was Courtney Dosa with four (4). www.santamariatimes.com/articles/2009/03/07/sports/sports81.txtNext: Saturday @ the Simi Valley Tournament
