Subject: Cabrillo JV Baseball
I have been keeping track of the Cabrillo JV baseball team this season and have been amazed with their progress. They are currently somewhere in the record neighborhood of 18-4-1. They have a roster of about 13 kids, with almost half of them being freshman. This team is a well put together group of kids. The coaches are doing a great job with them, and it is shown during games. To top it all off, the catcher, a kid named Nathan Reed hit for the cycle on Friday against Templeton. I know that this is only JV level baseball, but hitting for the cycle is a rare feat in baseball, and there has been no coverage in either the Lompoc Record or your website. I think this kid and all the others on this team deserve some attention, they are hard working and talented young men that will suprise many people in the years to come.
