Jarrod DeGeorgia is the Head Coach/Dir. Football Ops/Off. Coordinator of the Sioux City Bandits (www.scbandits.com/#) of the Indoor Football League (goifl.com/).
Jarrod DeGeorgia was born in Lompoc, Ca where he played three years on the varsity football team. His running back was Napolean Kaufman, who had a successful career with the Oakland Raiders. After high school he went on to play in junior college in Santa Barbara where he was an All American. In 1994 DeGeorgia was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals for baseball. In 1995, he was named Western State Conference Player of the Year. He went on to Wayne State to play on a football scholarship. In 1996, the offense was ranked number two in the nation. He set NCAA records in one game when he went 56-76 for 699 yds against Drake University. In 1997, DeGeorgia went on to play Arena Football for the Iowa Barnstormers. He played their behind Superbowl MVP Kurt Warner. 1999 sent coach overseas to play in the World Football League in Stockholm, Sweden. While there he was named MVP and Import Player of the Year. In 2000, Coach DeGeorgia came back to Sioux City to quarterback the Sioux City Attack. He played five seasons for the Attack/Bandits and holds virtually every QB record. After the 2005 season where he led the Bandits to a 15 and 3 record, throwing for 57 tds and rushing for another 18 scores, DeGeorgia retired from the game he loves. When he is not on the football field you can catch the coach and Curtis Anderson on "Your Sports Show" on Fox Sports Radio 620 KMNS Monday thru Friday from 4 pm to 6pm. Coach DeGeorgia is also a primary partner of "TDs and 3's Sports Publications" which previews high school sports in the state of Iowa.
His wife Melissa, an elementary school teacher, is from Sioux City, and they have two beautiful children, Siena Rae and Jayce Ryder.
